Pueblo’s Library

Same Great Library, No New Taxes

Pueblo Library Needs Your Vote

In 2019, Pueblo voters approved funding for their library without raising taxes. A new state law now puts that funding at risk, and on November 3, 2026, voters will have the chance to protect it. No new taxes. Just Pueblo deciding what is best for Pueblo.

About the Campaign

The Pueblo City-County Library District has served this community for generations, providing early childhood programs, workforce resources, lifelong learning opportunities, and so much more. In 2019, Pueblo voters chose to invest in that mission without raising taxes. Now, a new state law puts that funding at risk. On November 3, 2026, voters will have the chance to protect it. This campaign is powered by Pueblo neighbors, volunteers, and advocates who believe their library is worth fighting for.

What’s at Stake

Pueblo's library is more than a building. It is where children take their first steps toward reading, where job seekers find the tools they need to move forward, where teens have a safe place to learn after school, and where adults and seniors find enrichment and connection. Since voters approved library funding in 2019, PCCLD has renovated Rawlings Library, Lucero Library, and Barkman Library, and has maintained national recognition for excellence in public library service. Four more branches, Giodone Library, Greenhorn Valley Library, Lamb Library, and Pueblo West Library, are still waiting for that same investment. If this measure does not pass, the library will be subject to a state-imposed cap that limits its ability to keep up with rising costs, sustain the programs families depend on, and complete the work voters asked us to do. A yes vote on November 3, 2026 does not raise your taxes. It simply protects the funding Pueblo already approved and makes sure your library can keep delivering for this community.
